FAQs

How do I contact Dyson UK?

Dyson support is quite comprehensive. On the support site, you can either look up your Dyson product or enter the serial number for more information. The best way to contact Dyson directly is either via WhatsApp or phone call. The Dyson site allows you to open a window for WhatsApp directly. If you wish to phone, you can call 0800 298 0298. In both cases, the helpline is open between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.

How many years should a Dyson last?

Dyson products are generally considered to have a lifespan of about 10 years. This varies depending on how often you use the product, the type of product, and even a little luck, but for the most part, Dyson items are considered to be very reliable and long-lasting.

How do I check my Dyson warranty?

It's possible to check the warranty status on all your Dyson products by accessing My Dyson and signing up for an account to register your product. As standard, cordless vacuums, fans and heaters, purifiers and humidifiers, and hair products all have a two-year warranty. Corded vacuums, lights and hand dryers have a five-year warranty.

How do you return a broken Dyson?

If you need to get your Dyson product repaired or replaced, you have options. Complete the online troubleshooting section and contact support first. From there, if a repair is needed, the item can either be taken to a Dyson Service Centre to be repaired. Dyson can also collect the item if you don't live near one. It's all conducted free of charge and if the machine can't be repaired, it'll be replaced by Dyson.

Does Dyson replace batteries for free?

Yes, if the battery expires before the warranty period ends. Battery replacements are free and covered by the warranty with the company only using official and genuine parts. If the battery fails outside of the warranty period, you will need to pay for the item to be replaced yourself, except in exceptional circumstances.

Hints and Tips

Shop the Dyson sales section: Dyson often sells off certain products under its sales page. This can vary depending on the time of year and what stock is available. Often, you get free accessories included such as tools or cases depending on what you're buying.

Take advantage of the best price guarantee: If you buy something from Dyson and you see it cheaper at Argos, Currys, or John Lewis any time in the following seven days, Dyson will refund the difference. To do so, either start a WhatsApp conversation or contact Dyson customer services to get a refund.

Be careful you're buying the latest model: Price differences between old and new models aren't as significant as you'd think. With Dyson products often costing quite a lot, make sure you spend a little more to get the latest technology.

Buy refurbished: You can buy a refurbished Dyson direct from the company. All products have been "expertly renewed" so they work as intended. You also get a one-year guarantee along with free standard delivery, so it's possible to get a great bargain here. There's also a 35-day money-back guarantee if you're not entirely happy with the standard of your purchase.

Spread out the cost: Dyson products are expensive but long-lasting so they're the ideal candidate for spreading out the cost. Dyson offers the means in which to pay in three payments interest-free so the initial cost is less.

Don't buy more than you need: There are a lot of different Dyson vacuum cleaners in particular, and not everyone needs the most powerful model. Take a look at the features and don't worry about having options that you simply won't use such as a pet grooming kit if you don't own a pet.

How we source voucher codes

At TechRadar, we have a number of tools at our disposal to help us find the latest voucher codes. Our Vouchers team uses connections with big name brands, our affiliate networks, and the world wide web to source the latest & best codes for our pages. Each page is updated multiple times a week with sales info, exclusive codes negotiated by our Commercial team, and a number of ways to save on your next online order.

How we test voucher codes

Every code listed on TechRadar is tested before it’s added to our pages by our Vouchers team. We include a range of offers including student discounts, sale prices, free shipping, & more across a number of categories of products & services. Each code is checked to ensure it is accepted at the checkout, and you won’t find any one-time use or user-specific codes.

The expiry date and any terms & conditions of each code are also displayed on the page, next to or below the ‘Get Code’ button, for added clarity. Click the text that reads ‘Terms & Conditions’ to expand the corresponding area, where you can read more about any requirements your order will need to meet in order for your chosen coupon to be accepted.

What to do if a voucher code doesn’t work

We take the utmost care to verify every code before it’s uploaded, and include as much relevant information as we can find to make using our codes as straightforward as possible. However, sometimes codes expire or are amended before we’re able to refresh our pages, and codes may not work as intended.

Should you experience any issues, it’s always best to start by checking the terms & conditions on the page. Click  “View terms and conditions” and the code area will expand. You’ll see all applicable criteria listed in this area. For example, you may not meet a required minimum spend (i.e. spend £20 or more); you may not have enough times in your basket (e.g. you have only selected 2 products when trying to redeem a 3 for 2 multibuy offer), or your chosen offer may only apply to a certain type of product (i.e. 10% off laptops).

If issues persist once you’ve checked that you’ve met any necessary requirements, you can get in touch with our support team by emailing [email protected]. Please provide as much detail about your issue as possible - including which code you used and where you found it - and we’ll be in touch to provide support as soon as we can.

How we make money

All the money TechRadar makes through its voucher pages is earned through a commission-based model. We have deals in place with every retailer that has a voucher page on our site, and every time someone makes a purchase using one of our codes, we earn a percentage of the total basket value back in commission.

Thanks to this model, we can offer all of our codes & discounts completely free of charge. You’ll never be asked to pay a fee to redeem an offer on our site - all you’ll pay is the discounted price of the products or services you’ve chosen to buy.

If you want to find out more about TechRadar’s voucher pages, you can visit our dedicated page on How We Source Voucher Codes and How to Use Them for more information.

About Dyson

Dyson is a name synonymous with vacuum cleaners. The company was founded in the UK in 1991 by James Dyson who developed cyclonic power within vacuum cleaners. Since then, the company has expanded such technology to air purifiers, hand dryers, bladeless fans, heaters, and hair dryers. Besides cyclone technology, Dyson also focuses on cordless vacuum cleaners and uses unique brushes and other attachments to provide a superior level of vacuuming. All of its products are distinctive looking too which makes them appealing to anyone aiming for a certain aesthetic. Having made many of the best vacuum cleaners and the best cordless vacuums, Dyson is a highly sought-after brand for many homeowners.
